Creative Chemistry 101: Paint Dabber Resist

Today’s project from the Creative Chemistry series in the Online Card Classes involved canvas and paint! For this technique, we used Sticky Back Canvas from Ranger. This is a thin layer of canvas that you can cut out, remove the sticker back and adhere anywhere. Pretty clever. Instead of ink on the image, I applied paint to the stamp with a Ranger Paint Dabber. After stamping my canvas I made sure it was dry before applying various colors of Distress Stain right over the top of the image.

The dried paint resists the stain allowing the image to come through the color. I see a lot of possibilities with this Sticky Back Canvas!

See you in the studio,
